First impressions of the new Ferrari are that the car is far more evolutionary than expected. The first thing that strikes you is that the car adopts the Newey “V” nose, albeit the nose isn’t as extreme or raised as high as the 2009 Red Bull RB5. Indeed the nose cone follows the same basic shape as the F60. Still sporting 2009 wings and turning vanes the car still has secrets to reveal, as well as the diffuser design not shown on the launch video. Again evolution is evident with the sidepod fronts, still sporting the unique Ferrari stepped leading edge to provide space both for airflow and the internal crash structure. It’s surprising the sidepods are not as extremely undercut as with the Brawn. However the rear of the sidepods are far more extreme than the outgoing car. The exhaust system is brought forward to allow the tail of the sidepods to be very narrow alongside the engine and gearbox. Above this the engine cover has been narrowed to create long fin along its spine. Which exposes the bulkier area around the headrest, to allow for the larger fuel tank. Its hard to tell from the launch video how the cars basic layout has altered to accommodate the fuel tank.

Mi piace la soluzione cromatica, mi piace specialmente perchè mi sembra che il rosso sia quello storico.

Direi semplice e slanciata, certo poi da quello che realmente vedremo al primo Gp penso cambierà.

L'estrattore posteriore top secret: ormai conta poco nasconderlo, la prossima settimana in pista tutti lo potranno vedere, resta da vedere se la soluzione è vincente per copiarla

Colpo di scena alla presentazione della Ferrari F1 oggi a Maranello: nel video di presentazione dell'azienda, nessuno si è accorto che a un certo punto in mezzo ad auto meravigliose compare una volgare copia, l'orribile e grossolano falso di una Ferrari GTO usata da Tom Cruise nel film Vanilla Sky.
Certo, il volto di Tom Cruise che scende da una Rossa fa scena, peccato che la macchina sia in realtà una volgare Datsun 240Z, ricarrozzata alla meglio nella celeberrima Ferrari GTO. Per motivi cinematrografici, ovvio, si fa questo ed altro, ma quelle immagini del clone dozzinale, inserite insieme ad altre nel video della storia della casa di Maranello, fanno davvero colpo. Soprattutto quando sono proiettate in quel contesto e 'condite' da belle parole sulla storia della Ferrari.
Il filmato in questione comunque è piaciuto. Moltissimo: al punto che lo stesso presidente lo ha vluto mandare in onda due volte, all'inizio e alla fine della presentazione. Una cosa è certa: a Tokyo, qualcuno avrà sorriso...

beh seppur il musetto e' chiaramente Red Bull la macchina e' bella sotto tutti gli aspetti ma come si sa una F1 e' bella se e quando vince quindi aspettiamo a vedere cosa dice la pista. I copricerchi non dovevano sparire dal 011? boh se e' gia' da subito meglio cosi', erano veramente orribili.

beh dai questo o un'altro si sarebbe dovuto sviluppare comunque, anzi probabilmente partendo come base da quello dell'anno scorso e' bastato solo uno sviluppo con costi piu' ridotti, non credo che una qualche ora di galleria in piu' o in meno cambi molto la cosa insomma, meno se la macchina va forte

Più bellina della F60, ma comunque un brutto anatroccolo, come tutte le F1 post-2009. Speriamo sia cigno almeno nelle prestazioni

se si tornasse alla larghezza originale ma si vietasse oltre una certa inclinazione non si otterrebbe lo stesso risultato se non pure migliore?

Rumour - Ferrari working on 'B' version of new F10

Ferrari may already be working on a 'B' version of its newly launched F10 car.

Britain's Times newspaper referred to rumours "sweeping the Italian media" about the early performance estimates for the new single seater.

The report said it is feared the car is "not as good as the team were hoping for", despite Ferrari having stopped developing the F60 mid last season in order to focus on its successor.

Former Ferrari driver Gerhard Berger told Switzerland's Blick newspaper: "Even with Alonso, Ferrari's overall package is not as strong as it once was with Schumacher.

"They are now missing (Jean) Todt, (Ross) Brawn and the often underestimated designer (Rory) Byrne. And without the right people, soon you are lost," the Austrian added.
